Will my boyfriend ever get off methadone?

it sucks. i lost him a long time ago to heroin and he even took another GF last winter. he's on methadone after suboxone now and i feel like i'm still losing him. it's like he doesn't have time for me. he can go for a walk with a friend with the sniffles but, he can't see me for days. plus, sex is dumb. it's been over a year with drugs and i don't see an end. he is trying... he gets medication. what chances he'll ever come back?
