What is the best over the counter Daytime Cold medicine?

for the past few days I have been feeling like I am coming down with a cold. Well this morning it definitely hit me.....sniffles and coughing with a fever. Any suggestions in the best over the counter daytime medicine? I want to ask my hubby to pick some up for me when he gets out of work.
